This workshop is for you if you would like to better understand the dials and buttons on your camera and if you would like to control your photos by taking your camera off of auto mode. We’ll discuss the fundamentals of photography and your camera settings.

In the first half of the workshop, we’ll cover:

• Camera modes – what are all of those icons on the dial? 
• Shutter Speed
• Aperture 
• ISO 
• White balance 
• RAW vs. JPEG format 
• More… 

In the second half of the workshop, you will work with your own camera, applying what we discussed. You will be able to dig deeper into your specific camera and practice with different settings, asking questions along the way.

This workshop is for you if you need a little help with photo editing software or how to organize your photos. We’ll take a look at several of the most popular software applications, looking at some pros and cons. You’ll see demonstrations on some of this software including some editing techniques for punching up your photos. You’ll also work on your own photos and your own computer during the workshop.

Topics for the first half of this workshop include: 

• Moving photos from camera to computer 
• Organizing photos & where to store them 
• Review of iPhoto, Picasa, Photoshop, Photoshop Elements & Lightroom 
• Basic photo editing techniques to improve your photos immediately 
• Sharing your photos 

In the second half of the workshop, you’ll work on your own photos* in your favorite software application. Import photos, name them, organize them, edit them and share them.
